The Elemental Creatures are ancient beings that are tied to the elemental forces of the civilization of Okoto. They were created when Okoto itself came into being, born from the elements that make up the island. However, the shadows of Okoto responded by giving rise of the dark hunter named Umarak, whose sole purpose was to capture them. The Elemental Creatures were admired by the Okotoans, who built temples dedicated to them.
When the Mask of Control was lost, the Elemental Creatures discovered the mask and hide it in the Labyrinth of Control so that no one even Makuta would ever find it. Thousands of years later, the Toa saw visions of the Elemental Creatures and set out to find them and their temples in their respective regions. When the Elemental Creatures encountered the Toa, they both learn they should work as equals, enabling them to obtain their Golden Masks of Unity and merge with the Elemental Creatures to gain added abilites.
Now together, the Toa and the Elemental Creatures are set out to the Labyrinth of Control to find and destroy the Mask of Control, only for their plans to be sabotaged by Umarak. Would the Elemental Creatures succeed the plans with the Toa to destroy the Mask of Control before Makuta has a chance to recover it?
